Crayola retires 'dandelion' crayon color
NEW YORK — Crayola announced on Thursday that the color Dandelion will be retired.
It's the first time in their over 100 year history that the company has retired a crayon from the 24-count box.
The shade of yellow was added to the Box of 64 in 1990.
Which color will replace Dandelion is set to be released on Friday morning.
Previously Crayola retired Prussian Blue, Maize and Raw Umber from their collections.
Visitors to the Crayola Experience will be able to celebrate the retirement of Dandelion with special events this weekend.
The company will be giving away free crayons to the first 100 children starting today through Sunday. Visitors in the month of April can also:
